July 19, 2012 the top-management of the Central Office for Anti-Counterfeiting held a meeting with the Japanese delegation from  "Japan Development Service Co", Ltd, headed by Mr. Kunihiro Konishi.

During the talks the sides exchanged views on the state of business in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan. They also discussed enforcement issues related to the practical mechanism for the protection of intellectual property rights of owners of foreign and domestic brands.

The Japanese eperts has great interest for the unique in Central Asia experience of the Central Office for Anti-Counterfeiting to prevent counterfeiting in the import-export transactions, commerce and Internet business.

Before the guests were brought activities of the Central Office for Anti-Counterfeiting in conjunction with government agencies and commercial organizations to combat the production and sale of counterfeit goods across the country.

 

Following the meeting, Japanese experts have noted the usefulness of services of the Central Office for Anti-Counterfeiting for further development of intellectual property rights in Uzbekistan, especially emphasizing the importance of having such a mechanism, the confirmation email as a copyright depository "Avtor.uz", analogues of which have long been used in Japan for the legal protection of copyright works.
